Turtle BZZT!

This kind of happened some time ago, but whatever.

So I have turtles. Cool.
I have a water heater. Great.
I almost killed my turtles. NOT GOOD.

Last time I changed the waters for the tank, I forgot to turn off the heater. The heater was outside, burning hot, which caused the glass containing the heating machinery to break. What I didn't notice the next time I tried to grab my turtle, was that the heater has broken, and an electric current would run through me.

That was the first time I got electrified, and I'm like, "BZZT! Wow, so that's how it feels to get shocked!" It felt like as if your leg fell asleep, just that it's the whole body and it's much more astonishing.

What concerned me wasn't my condition. One of my turtles in the water jumped (literally), panicked, and started swimming like a retarded turtle. I turned off the heater and saw the turtle, which turned out to be OK. Good thing the electricity wasn't flowing when I wasn't touching the water. My turtles could have died.

Well, lucky me, I guess.
This incident left me being scared of being electrified every time I have to somehow touch the water in the turtle tank. Stuff like, 'What if the heater's broken again? What if the turtles die? What if I DIE?!'

Never mind. Sorry about that.
